Questionnaire
From the feedback I have received from 10 people in my target audience I have decided on the following decisions...
- I will aim my magazine towards a predominantly 'late-teen' audience (15-18) or anyone with a youthful personality and an interest in the Kpop world.
- i will include stories and features in my magazine that feature relevant artists in the k-pop world such as PSY ,Girls Generation ,2NE1 & SISTAR
-The colour scheme of my magazine will consist mainly of the colours White, Black & Red however some sections such as my interview I plan to use pinks and purples as this was a popular choice from my audience, plus It will emphasise the femininity of my chosen artist.
-The magazine will be a monthly magazine. I think this will be a good decision as this is what my audience would expect from a music magazine.
-The main font that I will use throughout will have to be modern yet classy in order to meet with the expectations of the audience, nothing too cartoonish or childish (however this may be appropriate if used in the correct way)
-I will aim to make my magazine as diverse as possible due to the overwhelming feedback in favour of encouraging/promoting diversity in k-pop.
-The price of my magazine should be low priced (ranging between £2.00-£3.00) due to the fact that people will not be prepared to pay much more as this could possibly influence wether they will buy my magazine or not.
-Finally, I will aim to cover all the typical features of a music magazine such as album reviews, tour dates, new releases and the latest in Kpop music. However, the type of articles which I feature in my magazine should differ in topic and there should be more than just music related news as other magazines of my genre offer more than this. Some suggestions were "fashion" and "style" as well as "interviews". all of these will definitely help to make my magazine much more interesting for my targeted audience.
Overall, I will aim to meet all of the points which I have mentioned above when designing/ crating my music magazine as these will be quintessential to the success of my Kpop magazine. If these points are not met/ implemented in my design then I should try to incorporate them because if I do not then my magazine may not live up to the expectations of my target audience. In addition, I will still try to make my magazine unique and different from other magazines of the Kpop genre but will follow the main codes and conventions that make it a Kpop magazine.
